      VAXstation 2000 External RX33 Floppy Disk Cable

   This document describes an extension cable which permits an external
RX33 floppy disk drive to be used with a VAXstation 2000.

   This extension cable runs from the internal connector intended for an
internal floppy disk drive to an external connector in the (unused)
third hole in the rear panel of the expansion box at the base of the CPU
box.

   The internal floppy disk drive connector is a 34-conductor card-edge
connector on the three-way split ribbon cable in the CPU box.

   The external connector is a 37-pin two-row female D connector
(DB37S).

   This assumes that the external floppy disk drive has a corresponding
connector and cable arrangement.  All odd conductors on the card edge
are ground.
